Rishi Bankim Chandra Evening College (RBCEC), Kolkata was established in 1947.
It is affiliated to University of Calcutta Nad accredited by NAAC.
It is renamed as Evening Section of the erstwhile Rishi Bankim Chandra College, named after the Great Literateur Rishi Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay.
The college was shifted to this present location at Kantalpara on the eastern side of the track the next year June, 1948, when the day section of the college started.
