Regional Institute of Engineering (RIE), Trivandrum was established in 1986.
Its affiliated to University of Kerala.
RIE is a pioneer in the field of technical education.

Regional Institute of Engineering has been authorized by professional autonomous bodies like the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Institution of Civil Engineers, Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers etc and is also the authorized study centre of prestigious Universities like Bharathiyar University, Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University etc.
