Raniganj Girls' College, Raniganj was established in the year 1980.

Its affiliated to University of Burdwan.

to meet the growing need of a college mainly for the girl students. The college is affiliated to the University of Burdwan.

The college was established by the liberal financial contributions of some eminent citizens of Raniganj, dedicated to the cause of spreading education especially among women.

At the time of inception the college started its academic enterprise at the campus of Gandhi Memorial Girls’ High School and later moved to the premises of Jamunamoyee Girls’ High School for very short time. Finally it moved to its present campus at Searsole, Raniganj.

The main vision of the college is to meet the challenges of imparting better, updated and socially relevant education as demanded by the new age of globalization.
