Raman College of Nursing, Mysore was established in 2002.
Its affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
The college is a unit of the Sri Jayachamarajendra Education Trust and their courses are approved by The Indian Nursing Council and The Karnataka Nursing council.
The College is affiliated to The Rajiv Gandhi University of health sciences, Bangalore whose approved syllabus is strictly followed and hence the candidates trained in the College are accorded B.Sc. Nursing degree by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health scinces.
The main objective is to suitably incorporate Nursing education in the National stream so that there is an accepted standard and uniformity recognized by the Authorities.
The College collaborates with the Raman Memorial Hospital by utilizing their facilities in the fields of medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, orthopedics and specialized fields of urology, neurology, neuron surgery and plastic surgery.
The training includes utilization of the facilities in the ICU, X-Ray, Scanning and the laboratories. In addition the College has a tie-up with the Vikram Hospital, a premier multi-specialty hospital in Mysore, specializing in cardiology, urology, cardio-thoracic surgery and also rural Govt. Hospitals for rural training.
