About Rajiv Gandhi Govt. College for Women, Bhiwani
Rajiv Gandhi Govt. College for Women, Bhiwani was established in July 2003.
It is one of the premier institutions to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
The college is affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) Act, 1956.
It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.34 on a 4 Point Scale in 1st Cycle) on 3rd March 2015.
Initially, the college was started in SIEMT building at Bhiwani in July 2003 with the student strengths of 204 in Arts faculty, the College is right now situated in lush green campus, the newly developed building at Hansi road Bhiwani.
It imparts quality education at minimal expense to girl students in various UG courses in Arts, Commerce and Science streams.
The college also offers Technical and Job Oriented Courses like BCA, PGDCA and PG Course in all Computer Science. Now the quantum of education seekers in all disciplines has grown to 3500 girl students. It has been allocated the status of College of Excellence by the state government.

- The college has a large playground with will-equipment for different sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton and so on
- A medical facility has been available in the college for the benefit of the students
- State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
- A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
- To sharpen the skill of students and their personality development, various curricular and extra-curricular activities are the regular features of the institution
- The college also organizes workshops, seminars, and conferences for improving teaching skills and methodology
- The college also provides NCC training to its students. The NCC cadets attend different camps and earn pride for themselves and for the college
- The college Unit NSS Wing performs different type of social services within and outside of the area
- The college consists Women Cell to help female students. This cell helps and guides girls to sort out from their personal problem and avoid them from any harassment
