Rajapalayam Deivanai ammal College of Education, Namakkal was established in 2005.

It is an Affiliated College started under The Rajapalayam Deivanai Ammal Trust. The trust started as voluntary organization and it is established in 1997, with the aims to fulfill the needs and uplift of the downtrodden rural, farming community and tribal community.

The trust successfully implements various awareness creating programs with the District Administration and with the Co-NGO's in Namakkal, Salem & Virdhunagar district.

They have a separate office at cuddalore with specialists team of well experienced faculties and advisors in all aspects related to development of watershed projects and they are willing to work under any circumstances and in any part of cuddalore District to the ensuing TNCWP watershed development programs.

The Rajapalayam Deivanai Ammal Trust started and functioning since 1994 and it was registered in 1997 under Trust Act to eradicate poverty in rural areas through an integrated programme of Rural Development with emphasis on economic uplifts.

It is extending service to the people in various sectors/ spheres including formation of Self Help Group(SHG) and facilitation in getting bank tie up and water shed develoment activities.

The Rajapalayam Deivanaiammal Trust has its head office at Namakkal district.

The main activities of the NGO are to eradicate poverty in rural areas to create job opportunities to all it preserve the natural resources in the world and to act as a facilitating agency to the Rural Agricultural people.

RDT has members for administration and all the decisions are taken in the executive committee based on the suggestions of NGO advisor. The committee meeting is held once in three months and special meetings is conducted whenever necessary.

The committee gives the power to the secretary of the NGO to take up action for urgent activities.
