Rajamahendri Institute of Engineering and Technology (RIET), Rajahmundry was established in 2008.

 The College is affiliated to JNTUK Kakinada and approved by AICTE, New Delhi and Government of Andhra Pradesh. 

Rajamahendri Institute of Engineering and Technology popularly known as “RIET” was established in the year 2008 near Pidimgoyyi in Rajahmundry by “The Swarnandhra Educational Society” pioneered by Technocrats, Academicians and Philanthropists with a concrete plan to offer excellence in technical education and to meet the present as well as the changing needs of the corporate sector. The college is located in a peaceful and lush green environment away from the din and bustle of the crowded city life which is free from pollution and congenial to attain technical knowledge. The nearest air port is at Madhurapudi which is 15 kms away from the college and the nearest Railway station is at Rajahmundry which is 8 kms away from the college. The college is well connected by National highway 16 to all parts of the district as well as the state.

The college is affiliated to JNTUK Kakinada and approved by AICTE, New Delhi and Government of Andhra Pradesh. The college was started in the year 2008 with an intake of 240 students in 4 branches of B.Tech, with 60 students each in EEE, ECE, CSE and IT. Mechanical Engineering branch was started with an intake of 60 in the year 2011.

Rajamahendri Institute of Engineering & Technology has completed seven years of successful functioning in the areas of Teaching, Learning, Evaluation, Research, Career planning, Training and Placement and is now in its eighth year of its existence. The college is making rapid strides in the field of technical education and has emerged as a reputed institute in the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh region. The institution always tries to look ahead in pursuit of excellence.

All the management members of the college believe in adapting to the changes in advanced technologies. They continuosly develop the infrastructural and instructional facilities of the institution for better performance in Engineering & Technology programmes.
