Raja Birendra Chandra College (RBCC), Murshidabad was established in 1965. 

Its affiliated to University of Kalyani.

The college is providing the need for higher education to a vast section of the under-privileged society.

The aim of the college is to create and sustain an academic environment conducive to academic and professional excellence and also to provide value-based education to the inspired youth.

The University of Kalyani was set-up in the post independence period. The University is an academic hub of sub urban region of West Bengal. The University provides academic guidance and leadership to several affiliated degree colleges.
