Raj Narain College, Hajipur was established in 1952. Its affiliated: B. R. A. Bihar University.

Raj Narain College, Hajipur, a constituent unit (‘A Category) of BRA Bihar University, Muzaffarpur is a premier and the oldest institution of Vaishali District. Raj Narain College was converted into a constituent unit in the year 1975.

Raj Narain College provides Intermediate, Degree & Post Graduate teaching in Arts & Science faculties. U.G.C Sponsored vocational Certificate course in clinical Psychology & Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) under self financing scheme are also being imparted here from the session 1998-99 & 2002-03.

The College has well equipped laboratories, a centrally rich library and a vast campus with play ground amenity.

Topographically the institution is semi urban but caters to all sorts of academic needs and extracurricular activities successfully and satisfactorily.

To make sustained effort for creation of suitable infrastructural facilities and availability of all possible support for ensuring greater participation of students in all academic, social and community- oriented programmes as well as involvement of faculty members in research work and professional efficiency upgradation

Located in an educationally backward and SC concentrated segment of the district Vaishali, the college envisions to evolve by the end of 2030 A.D. a committed and sensitive system of providing meaningful education in terms of competitive knowledge, soft-skills and positive personality traits for gainful employment, social inclusiveness and cultural upliftment to the graduating students.
