Raidighi B. Ed College, Raidighi was established in 1970.

It has received the approval of Calcutta University and other appropriate bodies.

It is known that knowledge explosion and tremendous advancement of science and technology in recent times have made it almost imperative to improve the system of education as well as the teaching-learning process at all levels, particularly at the school level.

In order to cope up with such changes, the improvement and updating of school education, again, is all the more necessary and urgent.

In order to achieve the target of Quality-Teacher-Education, National Council of Teacher Education (N. C. T. E), the apex body of teacher education in the country has set up certain norms for B.Ed. colleges.
