R.S College of Education, Kathua was established in 2007.

The college is managed by under the ages of Kathua Educational society with the sole motto of uplifting the educational standards of the students of backward classes especially in the remote areas.

The society has already achieved a lot in spreading the education through other institutions established earlier.

The society has pledged to impart quality education to children with more emphasis on female child and building personalities rather than just educated youth.
