R.N.S Institute of Technology, Bangalore (RNSIT) was established in 2001.

It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).

RNSIT is the brainchild of Dr. R N Shetty, a well-known industrialist, philanthropist and educationist.

It was established by the R N Shetty Trust in the year 2001 with a mission to impart high quality education with a difference, enabling graduates to excel in their career.

The Institution offers Five UG Programmes, Three M.Tech Programmes, one MCA & one MBA Programme. Five Departments have been recognized by VTU as Research and Development Centers.
