R.M.P C.S.I P.S.K Rajaratnam Memorial College of Education, Sathankulam was established in 2003.

R.M.P C.S.I P.S.K RAJARATNAM MEMORIAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, Sathankulam was established and is being administered by the CSI Thoothukudi Nazareth Diocesan Trust Association(India), which is bifurcated from Tinnelveli Diocesan Trust Association , of church of south India, has begun its functioning with effect from 25.10.03., and one of its objective is to administer all schools Elementary, Higher Elementary, High, Higher secondary and Training school and colleges ( Including B.Ed colleges, Engineering colleges and POLYTECHNICS), hospitals and other institutions and churches in Tuticorin District to be taken over through the executive committee and in accordance with the constitution of the Thoothukudi Nazareth Diocese.

The duration of the B.Ed course ( Secondary Teacher Education Programme) is one year.

Thoothukudi Nazareth Diocesan Trust Association( India ), has made land lease agreement for a period of 99 years(22.06.2006 to 21.06.2105) to R.M.P.C.S.I.P.S.K. Rajaratnam memorial college of Education . It is situated in the area of 7.75 acres.

It is managed under CSI Thoothukudi Nazareth Diocesan Trust Association (India) which is bifurcated from Tinnelveli Diocesan Trust Association of church of south India, has begun their functioning with effect from 2003.

It is to be affiliated by TAMILNADU Teachers Education  University, Chennai , It has excellent facilities and good infrastructure. It is a co-educational institution.

The college has a library with a rich collection of books, well- equipped science & computer labs; Psychology laboratory & an Educational technology lab.

The college is situated on the road on Thoppuvalam . It has excellent facilities and good infrastructure. It is a co-educational institution. The college is presently running two years B.Ed programme of the University of TamilNadu Teachers Education University Chennai . This B.Ed programme is approved by the NCTE on 8/11/06 .
