R.K.Samy College of Education, Ramanathapuram was established in 2005. The college is affilated to Madurai Kamaraj University.

R.K.Samy College of Education is located in Cheyyalur Village, Ramanathapuram District, in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is approved by National Council for Teacher Education(NCTE), Bangalore and is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai.

R.K.Samy College of Education was established in the year2006. With pride and deep reverence we have dedicated The institution in memory of the benign philanthropist late Mr.R.K.Samy of Vani village, Ramanathapuram District. The missionary zeal of the founder is being carried out but yet another compassionate and generous educationist Shri.M.Vijayan M.Sc., B.Ed., Managing Trustee and Chairman of the college.

Prof. Dr. M. Punithambal M.Sc (Psy)., M.A., (Eng).,M.A.,(W.S) M.Ed., Ph.D., Former HOD of the department of Education, and HOD of the department of Research of Mother Teresa University, is the Principal of the college, heading all the academic as well as student-centered activities with high level of proficiency, love, and dedication. She provides appropriate Pedagogic milieu and charts out conducive channels and programs for the wholesome development of personality of our students-teachers with multifaceted and multilevel competencies.

The aim of RKSCE is to generate ideal teachers who can serve the community with dedication preserving our values and culture. So that they can make the education purposeful and meaningful.

The trust was established in memory of late Shri.R.K.Samy a great philanthropist. The main objective of the trust is to promote socio economic development of the rural poor,  organize educational programs. To organize skill training programs for the youth belonging to the deprived sections of the society, and to organize awareness programs on various social issues.
