Established on April 3, 1898, Raja Devkinandan and Diamond Jubilee College, Munger is one of the leading institutions of higher education situated in a sprawling campus of 24.5 acres of land in the prime location of the town.

Commonly known as R.D. & D.J. College, the college vigorously combines the goals of academic excellence and integrity with the idea of ethical and moral values, equity and social justice.

The college is at present affiliated to Munger University, Munger from March 2018 and the college was formerly affiliated with the Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur.

It was recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Act, 1956 and the college was accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.36 on a 4 Point Scale in 1st Cycle) on October 30, 2017.

In 2012, the State Govt. has awarded 'Centre of Excellence' to this college and for the smooth functioning of life on campus, committees have been formed.

The college has 16 departments which offer undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce streams with various optional specialisations. The college has the means and method to attain excellence in curricular research and extracurricular activities.

The motto of the institution is “Satya Mewa Jayte”, which is enshrined on the auditorium hall of the college. From March 2018, the college became a constituent unit of Munger University.

Admissions here is conducted by the admission committee in minimum marks required for conducting in admission in various UG and PG courses. Based on secured marks from all the applicants, the merit list will be created and reservation fixed by the State Government.

Admission process in UG Course is only by online through the OFFS Bihar website and for admission in PG courses will be manual. The applications and prospectus for admission will be available in the college office counter on any working days between 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM.
