Pushpagiri Group of Institutions, Tiruvalla was established in 1959 to provide maternity care to the rural people in and around Tiruvalla by the Catholic Diocese of Tiruvalla.

As an initial step to attain its objectives the society took over the ownership and management of Pushpagiri Hospital which had grown into a super specialty hospital.

By the year 2001, Pushpagiri Group of Institutions initiated projects for a medical college and a nursing college.

Mission:

The mission of the group is to work towards a knowledge society with life in abundance through Science and Technology, improving health care of our immediate community, the state, the country and the world at large.

Pushpagiri saw a new beginning, a decade later, in 2002 with the starting of one of the first private medical colleges in Kerala.
