Prof. Sayed Nurul Hassan College (PSNHC), Murshidabad was established in 1994.

Its affiliated to University of Kalyani.

The college is a Self Financing, Co- education college. The college has delivered the need for higher education to a vast section of the under-privileged society, through the unquestioned commitment of teachers and the members of non-teaching staff.

The college offers the courses in discipline of Arts and Science. All academic activities are carried out in accordance with the prescribed syllabi, examination schedules and academic calendar of the Kalyani University.  

The University of Kalyani was set-up in the post independence period.

The University is an academic hub of sub urban region of West Bengal. The University provides academic guidance and leadership to several affiliated degree colleges and its territorial jurisdiction extends to the districts of Nadia, Murshidabad and parts of North 24 Parganas.
