Prime College of Engineering, Palakkad was established in 2009.

The college is affiliated to University of Calicut.

The college PCE is approved by AICTE and is a unit of Prime Educational and Charitable Trust.

The aim of the institute is to nurture excellence in various fields of engineering and make the institute a premier centre for education by imparting core values to learners and mould the institution into a culture of academic excellence.
