About Post Graduate Training College Jorhat
Post Graduate Training College Jorhat (PGTCJ), Jorhat was established in 1957. It is one of the premier & renowned teacher training institutes of Assam.
The college is a well known institute for acquiring education in the field of teaching, in the region. It is functioning with an aim to fulfill educational requirements of the region.
The college is affiliated to Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh and recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
The institute offers one year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course for those who have completed there graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.
Students here are admitted who completed there graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks in eligibility for admission.
Various teaching and learning techniques are being used by the faculty to impart knowledge and skills to students at Patharkandi College of Education, Karimganj in its various departments.
