Pooja Bhagavat Memorial Mahajana Post-Graduate Centre, Mysuru was also known as Pooja Bhagavat Memorial Mahajana Education Centre, Mysuru was established in October 1999 under the management of Mahajana Education Society.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college affiliated to University of Mysore, Mysuru and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It is also recognized and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi to offer management courses and re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade.

The history of Mahajana Education Society dates back to the times of our nation's independence movement under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi, at a time when education was scarce and institutions were few.

Visionaries of Mysuru like Sri Amble Subramanyam Iyer, Sri AgaramSatyanarayana Pandit, Sri  G. Ranganna, M.N. Sri  Jois and Sri  M.N. Ramachandra Jois got together to establish the Mahajana High School on 30th June 1937.

Sri Rattehalli Ramappa carried the mission successfully through its various growth phases. With this modest beginning, the institution has grown with time and culminated in the establishment of the Post Graduate Centre in the year 1999-2000. This mighty educational institution offers to school from primary to the post-graduate level spread across six educational centres.

Initially, it was started with MCA course during the academic year 1999-2000. The Centre now offers post-graduate degree and diploma courses in thirteen disciplines and is poised to start new courses in the years to come.

The institution has given priority to teaching and learning process. It has created a better teaching and learning environment in the campus through improved infrastructural and human resources.

At present, the college offers post graduate courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, & Management streams with various specializations under the University of Mysore, Mysuru.

• To create three exclusive schools of higher learning namely, Mahajana School of Business, Mahajana school of Biological Science and Mahajana School of Computer Science and Information Technology.

  These schools will turn out post graduates of very high caliber loaded with knowledge & research.
