Parashuram Mishra Institute of Advanced Study in Education, Sambalpur was also known as Dr. P.M. Instititute of Advanced studies in Education, Sambalpur was established in 1962.

But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.
