PKM College of Education, Kannur came into existence in 1995.

It is owned and run by Catholic Archdiocese of Kottayam.

The college is affiliated to Kannur University, Kannur. P. K. M. College of Education is approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

The college imparts course in the field of teacher education at the undergraduate level - Bachelor of Education (B. Ed).

The one-year full time programme is offered by the college as per the guidelines of the University.
