Paradip college came into existence in 1975.

Its affiliated to Utkal University.

at present it imparts teaching in arts and science at degree stage with Hons. Teaching facility in English, Oriya, Political Science, History & Economics in Arts and in physics. Intra-disciplinary subjects like Environmental Studies, Population Studies, Indian Society And Culture, Biological Science, Mathematics And Statistics along with IT in +3 Sc are also taught.

The college has total student strength of 1450 on its roll with 616 at +3 level and 834 at Higher Secondary level.The college has 44 faculties with 5 Ph.D and 9 M.Phil degree holders.

There are 7 technical assistants and 24 administrative staff. The vision of this college is to create ample opportunities of higher learning for the students of all sections of the society and to provide value based education for creating generations of technically sound, efficient and responsible citizens.
