Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET), Panipat was established in 2006.

Its affiliated to Kurukshetra University.

Its run by Vidyapeeth Education Trust. The institute is approved by AICTE, Govt. of India.

The main aim of the institute is to promote academic excellence by offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Engineering, Technology and Management.

PIET is determined to build a society replete with fertile brains and upright citizens who nurture a good working relationship by producing skilled technocrats and competent professionals and creating a learning environment on the institute's campus for making the students dynamic and vigorous to exploit existing technologies more fully.

 It is situated at Samalkha, Panipat on National Highway No. 1 and is about 21 kms from Panipat.
