Panchakot Mahavidyalaya, Purulia was established in 2000.

Its affiliated to University of Burdwan.

The College was founded by generous help and active co-operation of the local people and the dedicated efforts of some visionaries of the district of Purulia.

The University of Burdwan has given spontaneous positive response that effectively materialized in the establishment of this long dreamt institution of higher education.

The Institute has the picturesque surroundings near the foothills of ‘Panchakot Pahar’ at the northernmost of the district of Purulia. 

The College offers under graduate courses in Arts, commerce and Science stream.
