Padmavathi College of Pharmacy, Chennai was established in 1992.

The college is managed and run by Sri Govinda Gounder Educational Trust.

The college is affiliated to Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai.

The college is recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu and is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).

The college mission is to provide jobs oriented education to Prepare the younger generation for the better future by improving their capabilities to face the competition and to provide social justice to the socially backward by extending educational facilities of them.
