Padmashri Institute of Physiotherapy, Bangalore run by the Padmashree Charitable Trust was formed in 1994 by the coming together of professionals in different fields to espouse a noble cause of providing quality education.

The first Institution to be started by the Trust was Padmashree Institute of Physiotherapy  in 1996, it was the first Physiotherapy Institute to be started in Bangalore offering Bachelors in Physiotherapy course.
