P.T.M. Teacher Training Institute, Palakkad was established in 2000.

Its affiliated to Kerala Teachers Education University.

It is approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

The teacher training institute imparts teacher training programme at the undergraduate diploma level - Diploma in Teacher Education (DTEd).

It is a two-year full time programme, which is offered as per the rules and regulations of the NCTE.
