P.S.C & K.V.S.C Government College, Nandyal was established in 1967.

It is affiliated to Sri Krishna Devaraya University and accredited by NAAC with 'B+' Grade.

The college is gradually developed into a full-fledged Degree and PG college offering several innovative programmes at UG and PG level. The college started restructured courses keeping in view of the current demands of the society. The institution has realized that mere pursuit of knowledge and coaching for examinations is not sufficient to transform the students from economically, socially and intellectually deprived position into confident, and efficient personalities.

The institution has prepared an elaborate schedule of co-curricular, extracurricular and extension activities with an outreach into every aspect of a developing society, Health and Hygienic, Education, Environment and other programmes like Clean and Green, NCC and NSS activities. The alumni is taking initiatives in the developmental activities of the college.

NAAC has accredited the institution with the status of B+ in the year 2005-06. It is in this context that the college has come forward to overcome the weakness of the institution by enhancing the quality and sustenance of the institution. To achieve the goal the entire staff of the college is involved in the preparation of Accreditation Report for cycle -2.
