Orion Edutech, Kolkata was established in 2005 is the largest vocational training institute in the country.

The vocational courses offered by the institute are industry-oriented and skill based. The institute has won the prestigious Best Vocational Training Institute award by Indian Education Awards 2011 in association with knowledge partner KPMG at Indian Education Congress.

in 2006, Orion's Journey started with ITES/BPO industry skill development whose runaway success led us to successfully skill workforce for diverse industries including healthcare, logistics, retail, apparel, hospitality among others. With an incredibly high placement record across all sectors, Orion made its nect successful foray into CSR skilling partnering with some of the largest corporates in the country.

Over time, working closely with corporates for skilling, Orion saw a huge need for a skilled flexible workforce and ventured into it. Orion's success has continued in the staffing vertical too providing efficient resources minus the hasssle of training time and cost for partner cororates, creqting a win-win equation.

With Orion's rapid growth and extensive geographical spread, we indentified an urgent need to transition from traditional classroom training to technology-enabled, cohort-based live online training for constant learing and growth of our staffing employees. This led to the genesis of LearnHat to provide upskilling courses such as soft skills, English and personality development particulary for the gig economy workers, a large number of whom come from 'Bhart'. The LearnHat platform, today, has expanded into providing high-quality, affordable, and vernacular-based live online education to K-12 students in the small towns, thus, forging the next generation of nation-builders.
