Om Parkash Memorial Institute of Education, Dyalpur (Dist. Kapurthala) was established in 2005 under the leadership of Sh. Satish Kumar Batura, Hon'ble Chairman in the memory of his father Late Sh. Om Parkash Batura and managed by Jagdambay Educational Society (R). It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

Om Parkash Memorial Institute of Education, Dyalpur, Near Kartarpur, Kapurthala came on the map of teacher education in punjab from academic session 2005-2006 with detailed efforts of Jagdambay Educational Society. It is a co-educational institute, recognized by NCTE and approved by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. This Institute has been promoted in the loving memory of Late Shri Om Parkash Batura, the revered father of Sh. Satish Kumar, the Hon'ble Chairman and life member of the society. The worthy chairman was continously striving to fulfill the long cherished desire of his beloved father to start and educational institution. 

The college is affiliated with Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and it is recognized and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Jaipur & Govt. of Punjab to offer B.Ed. course. It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade (CGPA Score 2.32 on a 4 Point Scale in 1st Cycle) on 5th May 2014.

The main aim of the college is determined to provide the quality education to the future teachers. With the correct mix of technology and human touch, the college empowers the aspiring teachers to propagate education through the rungs of the society so that they serve the nation while making a satisfying career for themselves.

It is a co-educational self-financed Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the rural part of Kapurthala played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college also received the many achievements awards in the field of Teacher Training under Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.

The college offers two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) courses for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.
