National College for Women, Machhiwara (Dist. Ludhiana) was established on 27th July 1985 but came into existence on 16th August 1985 and managed by the College Management Committee.
It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
The college is affiliated with Panjab University, Chandigarh and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) in 2002 under Act, 1956.
The aim of the college was enkindling the dark corners of the human mind with the light of knowledge.
It was a woman private Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the rural part of Ludhiana played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
The college also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports and curricular activities under Panjab University, Chandigarh.
The college offers two years intermediate courses in Arts and Computer Application streams with various specializations under Council of Higher Secondary Education, Chandigarh.
The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts and Commerce streams and offers two years of post-graduate courses in Arts streams with various specializations under Panjab University, Chandigarh. It also offers Post Graduate Diploma and Add-On Course.
