Naval Maritime Academy (NAMAC) in Visakhapatnam was established in 1998.

This college is affiliated Indian Maritime University

by the Naval Education Society, New Delhi. It conducts four year B Sc (Tech) course in Marine Engineering.

Approved by the Director General of Shipping for conducting marine engineering course.

the academy aims at providing quality education and training in disciplines required by the merchant navy.

The academy has also executed a special MOU with Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, for providing training to the cadets in basic sciences and engineering science subjects. Besides, hands-on training and workshop practice are organized to enhance the training.

Among the facilities are class room with audio-visual aids, computer lab and workshops.
