About National Council for Hotel Management

The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Bangalore is an Apex autonomous Body under the Ministry of Tourism for ensuring co-ordinated growth and development of hospitality education in the country.

Its objective is to provide well trained professionals to meet the growing requirements of the industry by organising programmes at Management, Supervisory and Craft levels in the field of Hotel Management, Catering and allied crafts.

It also acts as the main policy making body for this purpose.

The Council also functions as a professional body conducting examinations and conferring recognition and accreditation of professional merit.

The Council has on its Board of Governors/representatives of the Ministries/Departments of Food, Labour, Tourism, Education and also Finance of the Government of India as also representatives of hotel industry, experts, professionals and educationalists.
