Nandamuri Basava Tarakam & Nallapati Venkateswarlu Chowdary College, Narasaraopet was established in 1984.

It is affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University and accreditated by NAAC with 'B' Grade.

The college is named after Sri Nandamuri Basava Tarakam, the better half of late Sri Nandamuri N.T. Rama Rao, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, and in the name of famous educationalist late Sri Nallapati Venkateswarlu Chowdary.

The college founded to impart quality, vocational and scientific education to rural wards on par with urban students under the jurisdiction of Acharya Nagarjuna University.

The college educates 1200 to 1300 students every year in degree college level when there was dearth of student strength in other colleges. It was doing its best to achieve its goals by providing service to Palnadu and neighboring areas since 1984.

The College has modern campus spread in 4 acres with imposing buildings surrounded by greenery. It was situated in Palnadu road, the heart of Narasaraopet town.
