Nalanda College of Pharmacy, Nalgonda was started in 1995 under the aegis of Nalanda Educational Society and Dr. G.Achaiah took over the charge as the first Principal of the College.

The college started functioning in a rented building in Nalgonda. D.Pharm course was started in 1997.

The college premises was shifted to a near by village Marriguda in 1998 to accommodate B.Pharm and D.Pharm students.

The College students participated actively in several industrial/educational tours regularly from 1995.

The College students along with staff took a procession in support of Indian soldiers who fought for our country in Kargil and contributed significant amount of bereaved families.
