Nachimuthu Polytechnic College, Pollachi was established in 1957.

It was established by Artuchelvar Dr.N.Mahalingam in memory of his beloved father, Thiru.P.Nachimuthu Gounder.

The college has to its credit, the autonomous status from 1991- 1992 onwards, ISO 9001-2000 certification by STQC, Govt. of India, New Delhi.
