Ramaiah College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Bengaluru is informally known as M.S. Ramaiah Junior & Degree College, Bengaluru was started in 1994 by Late Dr. M.S. Ramaiah.

It is now under the management of Gokula Education Foundation.

It is affiliated to Bangalore University, Bengaluru and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 1974 under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

The college is recognized and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade - (CGPA Score 3.06 on a 4 Point Scale in 3rd Cycle) on 3rd March 2015.

The main objective of the college is to create the healthy working environment for both staff and students by implementing congenial work ethics at the college premises and to establish and implement a rigorous but practical Quality Assurance mechanism for guaranteeing the improvement of the college through the success of its students.

It is a co-educational private college, providing regular courses in which is located in the urban part of Bengaluru played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The building complex housing MSRJ&DC is known as JNANA BHAVANA. M.S.Ramaiah Junior & Degree College is located in the city of Bangalore, which is known for educational excellence in India.

The institution is beautifully surrounded by the academically excellent campuses of Indian Institute of Science, MSRIT, MSRMC, RRI, CPRI and ISRO and is situated adjacent to National Institute of Advanced Students and behind Indian Institute of Science.

The college has excellent placement division offers the students an opportunity to apply the knowledge and expertise gained in real practical situations. Placement services are provided to all graduate and postgraduate students.

The college also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports and curricular activities under the affiliating university.

At present, the college offers three years undergraduate courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, and Management streams and two years postgraduate courses Arts & Science stream with various specializations under Bangalore University, Bengaluru. It also offers UGC Sponsored Certificate Courses & Add-On Courses.

University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by the Bangalore University, Bengaluru, and various other examinations are held in the college premises.
