Established by the Mount Zion Charitable and Welfare Trust at Chayalode in 2012, Mount Zion Medical College is one premier medical established to impart quality education in the medical.
 
The campus spread over in 32 acres of a green, calm, quiet and serene area flourished land and located about 8 kilometers away from Adoor and can be reached by road from Adoor or Pathanapuram.

The college is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur and recognized by the Medical Council of India & approved by the Government of Kerala.

Mount Zion Medical College has received the letter of permission from the central government of India, Order No.U-12012/781/2014-ME (P-11) dated 18th July 2014 to start admission for 100 students for the academic year 2014-15.

At present, the college offers undergraduate 5 years and 6 months internship of MBBS course for aspiring candidates with well-qualified faculty members.
