About Mohan Lal Uppal DAV College, Phagwara
Mohan Lal Uppal DAV College, Phagwara (Dist. Kapurthala) was an Arya Samaj Minority College also popularly known as MLU DAV College, Phagwara was established in 2008 and managed by the D.A.V. College Managing Committee, New Delhi.
It was managed by D.A.V. College Managing Committee (DAVCMC), New Delhi which was established in 1987 is the largest non-governmental organization in the field of education in India today.
It is one of the premier minority colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
The college is affiliated with Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.
The aim of the college was educating the youngsters professionally, to gear them to face the challenges of tomorrow and enable them to be in tune with global advancement in technology.
It was a co-educational private Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the rural part of Kapurthala played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
The college also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports and curricular activities under Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
The college offers two years intermediate courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce streams with various specializations under Council of Higher Secondary Education, Mohali.
The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts, Science, Management, Computer Science, and Commerce streams and offers two years of post-graduate in Science streams with various specializations under Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. It also Offers Post Graduate Diploma.

- State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
- The institution has provided ICT facilities like computers, projectors, audio-visual gadgets, scanners and printers to the departments and also other aids and a huge number of availability of books for effective delivery of curriculum and for inculcating the knowledge of the subject

- A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
- To sharpen the skill of students and their personality development, various curricular and extra-curricular activities are the regular features of the institution
- The college also provides NCC training to its students. The NCC cadets attend different camps and earn pride for themselves and for the college
- The college Unit NSS Wing performs different type of social services within and outside of the area
