Mohamed Sathak Engineering College, Kilakarai was established in 1984. Its affiliated to Anna University of Technology, Tiruchirappalli.

By the Mohamed Sathak Trust has the twin distinction of being the first self-financed and Muslim Minority Engineering College in Tamil Nadu.

The College is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and offers 10 Undergraduate and 8 Postgraduate courses to over 2500 students.

An ISO 9001:2000 certified institution,  affiliated to Anna University, Trichy and the college has been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

Mohamed Sathak Trust is a Charitable and Educational body having its registered office in Chennai.

The main aim of the Trust is to encourage and educate youths from backward communities.
