Modern Education Society's Cusrow Wadia Institute of Technology (CWIT), Pune was established in 1938 with setting up of Department of Applied Electricity.
The institute is approved by AICTE and got an Academic Autonomy for Diploma Programs.
The institute has made rapid progress and today it is a full-fledged Polytechnic with multifarious activities under its umbrella.
The short range goal of the institute is to ensure quality assurance through accreditation.
