Maharishi Institute of Vedic and Management Sciences, Bhopal was established in 1995 and managed by Maharshi Shiksha Sansthan (MSS). MIVMS is a unit of Maharshi Shiksha Sansthan.

It is one of the premier Institutes established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with Barkatullah University Bhopal and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

The aim of the college was to eliminate existing problems in the field of management in all areas of human concern by establishing automation in the administration -- management supported by the total intelligence of Natural Law.

It is a co-educational private Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the urban part of Bhopal played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

Maharishi Institute of Vedic and Management Sciences is an authorized study centre of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic Vishwavidyalaya and Maharishi University of Management and Technology which has been established by the legislature of Madhya Pradesh State.

In India, MIVMS is a part of Maharishi Educational Institutions having 150 Schools on CBSE course pattern, 5 Colleges, 6 branches of Management Institute, 2 Universities, 22 Residential Vedic Schools and 1100 Day Vedic Schools.

On demand of graduating students of MVMs, MIMs and other institutions who want to continue their higher education in Maharishi Education System, now it has been decided to join hands with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic Vishwavidyalaya (M.P.) and Maharishi University of Management and Technology (CG.).

Both founded by Maharishi Ji to provide the opportunity to a large number of students and their family members to undertake higher education in Vedic and Management Sciences.

MIM incorporates the principles and programmes of Maharishi's Consciousness-Based Education, Including the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi programme, The basis of this approach is the use of Maharishi's Vedic Science and Technology to develop the consciousness of every student.

All Degree/Diploma/Certificate courses offered by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic Vishwavidyalaya are at par with Degree/Diploma and Certificate of other universities in India, established under statutory provisions of central or state governments.

The college also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports, and curricular activities under Barkatullah University, Bhopal.

The consciousness-based management training was distorted by the foreign influence in India for thousands of years, and even now the momentum of foreign influence is dominating management systems in India, rendering them totally incomplete and ineffective.

With Maharishi Universities of Management in America, Europe, and Russia; and Maharishi Vedic University and Maharishi Institute of Management in India, the field of management is now rising to enjoy the light of Vedic Management-the light of perfection.

The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts, Commerce, and Management streams with various specializations under Barkatullah University, Bhopal. It also offers Diploma, Post-graduate Diploma, and Add-on Certificates courses.

University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by Barkatullah University, Bhopal and various other examinations are held in the college premises.
