MAEER'S MIT School of Education & Research (MITSOE&R), Kothrud (Dist. Pune) was established in 2007 and managed under MIT Group of Institutions which was established as a society and charitable trust in 1983.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) in 2009 under Act, 1956. 

It is also recognized and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bhopal to offer B.Ed. and M.Ed. courses.

The main aim of the college is determined to provide the quality education to the future teachers. With the correct mix of technology and human touch, the college empowers the aspiring teachers to propagate education through the rungs of the society so that they serve the nation while making a satisfying career for themselves.

MAEER is truly multi-campus and multi-disciplinary organization conducting university-approved academic programs in Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Medicine, and Polytechnic.

The trust started with more than 10 campuses in the state of Maharashtra provides education in the fields of Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, Marine Engineering, Insurance, Distance Education, Telecom Management, Lighting, Design, Food & Technology, Retail Management, and Masters in Business Administration, School of Government and also School Education, Arts, Commerce and Science.

It is co-educational private Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the urban part of Pune played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college offers two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) courses for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled to a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.

The college also offers two years Master of Education (M.Ed.) course for those who have completed their Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with the minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their graduation in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the graduation level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.

Apart from these two courses, the college offers two years Master of Arts in Education course through distance mode under Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU), Nashik.

The College also imparts several Degree courses of Pre School Teachers Training which is affiliated with Maharashtra State Board of Vocational Education.
