Miriam College of Education, East Godavari has been established in the year 1999 by Miriam Children's Home, Amalapuram, a registered charitable society founded in the year 1969 by Bishop Ernest P. Komanapalli & Mrs. Rachel J Komanapalli. Miriam College of Education objective is to assist the Christian Students in their quest for knowledge.

It is affiliated to Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and accreditated by NAAC with 'A' Grade.

The College offers Bachelor of Education course for those who have passed graduation with minimum aggregate of 45 % from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

The Miriam College of Education is functioning under the supervision of Rev. Carl David Komanapalli, Secretary & Correspondent.

The newly constructed building fully furnished equipped was a munificent gift from Erikshjalpen, Sweden.
