Miriam College was established in the year 1994 by the Miriam Children's Home, Amalapuram a registered Non-Government charitable organization. The organization was formed by Bishop.Ernest and Mrs. Rachel Komanapalli, Internationally renowned Christian Missionaries with a view to cater to the needs the boys and girls coming from the rural areas and those children much afflicted with poverty. The Miriam Children's Home through its 18 branch homes scattered in the Costal Districts of Andhra Pradesh and Orissa nurturned over 26000 orphan and destitute children since the time of its inception in the year 1969. It is affiliated to Andhra University and accreditated by NAAC with 'A' Grade.
