Milad E Sherief Memorial (MSM) College, Kayamkulam was established in 1964 by the late Al Haj P.K.Kunju Sahib, a far sighted visionary and an eminent Minister in the Govt. of Kerala.
Affiliated to the University of Kerala, MSM College conducts under graduate programs in as many as fourteen subjects and post graduate courses in six disciplines. The Institution is expected to scale greater heights under the spirited guidance and able leadership of the current Chairman Janab P.A. Hilal Babu.
MSM College was founded by the late Al-Haj P.K. Kunju Sahib, the gem of a visionary and an eminent Minister in the Government of Kerala, as a realisation of his long-cherished dream of cultural advancement of the illiterate people of central Travancore. “MSM”- Milad-E-Sherief Memorial- commemorates Milad-E-Sherief, the sacred birthday of the Holy Prophet. A monument to the Holy Prophet being a religious taboo in Islam, a monument to the sacred birthday of the Holy Prophet was contemplated. The Institution situated in the heartland of the historic town of Kayamkulam, was envisaged to provide a powerful impetus to the social upliftment of the downtrodden masses through Education. The College which was started on humble premises with minimal facilities has since then traversed a path of rapid and steady progress in terms of expanding infrastructure and widening horizons of academic service. The concerted effort of the Management, the Faculty, Staff and the Students has been instrumental in the development of the College into a centre of academic excellence.
MSM College also takes pride in eminent alumni that is despotically present all over the world.
