MES Institute of Technology and Management (MESITM), Kollam was established in 2009.
College is established under the management of Muslim Educational Society (MES) Regd., which was founded in 1964, is the biggest educational agency of the Muslim community in India having hundreds of institutions.
This college is the first self financing engineering college with minority status in the state of Kerala.
College is widely acknowledged as one of the top institutions for imparting technical education in the state.
The principle of the college is to keep away from party politics and sectarian religious philosophy.
