Merchant Engineering College (MEC), Mehsana is established in the year 2009 by Shri Merchant Charitable Trust.  

MEC was founded with a purpose of enriching the new generation of students and engineers with knowledge and skills.

MISSION

The mission of the institution is to help prepare outstanding educators, scholars, and researchers, and to advance the profession of engineering, management and computer application, through research on the science and art of teaching and learning, the application of processes, the optimized uses of advanced technology and the analysis and development of leadership and international policies.

Specifically, we want to usher in the modern engineering concept of creation, management and sustenance of eco-Friendly and Green manufacturing technology to build India at grass-roots level.

QUALITY POLICY

The need for technically sound personnel to manage the modern production technology in the country has lead to rethinking on the engineering education in the country.

The feedback from the corporate managers in the production world has lead to modify the role of the technicians with diploma and degree engineers. There is acute shortage of the technically competent personnel to work/support/implement modern technology in the competitive world. We at MEC, under MCT group of Institutions are working in close liaison with industry to give more practical exposure to the students. They are exposed to practical on the modern production floor in the different segments of the industry in Gujarat.

Main concern is to develop multi tasking ability by making work for the industry useful projects by allocating industry mentors from the different segments in engineering industries.
