Melmuri Muslim Educational Institute of Teacher Training, Malappuram was established in 2005.

Its affiliated to University of Kerala.

It is approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

The institute imparts teacher training programme at the undergraduate level - Teacher Training Certificate (TTC).

Melmuri Muslim Educational Institute of Teacher Training imparts this two-year full time programme as per the rules and regulations of NCTE.
